Weeks 3-4

This Sprint I focused on these:

  • Getting feedback on Main Menu theme

  • Improving current Main Menu theme

  • Documenting instrumentation for Main Menu theme

  • Music program learning

  • Playtesting

  • Playing Wargroove for audio and UX/UI reference / inspiration


Week 1 - 8h Total

(2h) - Studio Meeting

This week's meeting was virtual, and focused on playtesting. I added relevant bugs in the comments section of Confluence QA.



(2h) - Feedback

I received feedback for my music from my mentor. I mentioned that the game is cat themed, and the picture below shows the feedback I got. We also met up in person to discuss parts of the song again, before I started implementing changes.


(4h) - Fixing Main Menu Music

Based on the feedback I got, I adjusted the acoustic instrumentation to have a shorter release to seem like a shorter sound, and also played around with different tempos. I also adjusted the melody a bit to be more simplified.


In the picture above, I fine tuned the piano sound to match the theme better.


Week 2 - 11h Total


(2h) - Meeting


(1h) - Looked through Confluence documentation and started reviewing what I would rewrite for audio implementation documentation for project multiply.


(3h) - Playing wargroove and watching gameplay

With the audio team members, played wargroove for 2h and afterwards I watched online plays of it to get a better sense of different aspects of the game.


(4h) - Music program learning

Played around with Logic Pro more, made more demos and tried using acoustic instrumentation more.



(1h) - Discord chat and messages and planning

We are planning on doing voice acting and sampling cat sounds from different team members.


Overall work: 19h total for sprint 2
